Halloween is right around the corner and soon the kiddos will be asking for new costumes. Each year, the hottest tv characters and cartoons have new costumes on the shelves. But the big big box stores can be pricey, and if you aren’t interested in spending $50 per kid, what can you do? We’ve picked out some of our favorite DIY Halloween Costumes for Kids that we think you should try out this year!

1. No Sew Pineapple Costume

This pineapple costume from Delia Creates is so stinkin cute! Plus, it is no sew which makes it even better. Grab some felt, scissors, paint, a ruler and get to work!

2. Lumberjack with Beard and Axe

Make It Love It has a quirky, fun costume to turn your kiddo into a burly lumberjack. The instructions are straightforward and include the beard template for you to print and try at home.

3. DIY Unicorn Costume

4. DIY Rain Cloud

Andrea’s Notebook has a super cute tutorial for a rain cloud costume. It takes some sewing, so a beginner might have a little bit of trouble putting it together. But the end result is undeniably cute!

5. Monarch Butterfly

Your kiddo can float like a butterfly this Halloween with the help of Buggy and Buddy. The tutorial is pretty straight forward and can be a fun project to create with your children.

6. Jet Pack DIY

Fly into space or play superhero with this nifty jet pack DIY. This clever crafting projects repurposes soda bottles, and requires some tissue paper, spray paint and duct tape.

7. Bubble Bath
